Recently it was remarked in news reports that “violence against ICE agents went up 400%.” Whether that’s true or not, clearly they’re using that as the rationale to stepping up THEIR violence.

What was wrong with the classic “Pa dies near-instantly of a heart attack”? That’s plausible, common & relatable. It still humanized Clark’s limitations as a superhuman but not omnipotent being. It still inspired him to maintain the code Pa taught him. The “tornado suicide” was just…asinine. (2)
