Mydei sits in the sand, watching the waves as they crash into the shore and lap at his toes. The tide is coming in, and each break inches ever closer to him, but he can't find it in himself to care. The sun has just set when he hears footsteps approaching. He recognizes the familiar cadence immediately, and turns to see Phainon walking towards him. "Deliverer." He says in greeting. Phainon plops down into the sand next to him, letting the silence blanket them. The familiarity only two demigods could share loosened the tension a bit in Mydei's body, Phainon's proximity enough to ease his worries somewhat. "Talk to me, Mydeimos." Oh, it was a full name kind of night. Very well. "As a child, my mother would tell me if I was worried about something, tell it to the sea. It will listen and tell nobody." Phainon stares at him, listening but giving Mydei space to tell his story. He takes a breath, and continues. "I still come here often when I'm missing her. That advice was silly, meant to put a child's mind at ease. But I find it often helps these days." With a nod, Phainon leans back on his hands, running his fingers through the sand, twitching with what Mydei can only assume is nervous energy. Silently, Mydei leans back and inches his hand closer to Phainon's until their fingers brush. He hears the amused chuff of air Phainon releases before closing the gap to twine their fingers together. "You can always tell your worries to me, you know. I might not be as reliable as the sea, but I promise to keep your secrets. And provide a distraction if you need it." It's Mydei's turn to laugh. "Did you just proposition me, Deliverer?" Phainon smirks. "Perhaps. Why don't we go back to my place and discuss it more over drinks?" "Just come here already." Phainon isn't even given a chance to protest before Mydei pulls him into a kiss. "Bastard." Phainon says when they separate, but there's no venom to it. "Let's put that tongue to better use." "Now who is propositioning who?" Mydei rolls his eyes and rises to his feet. "Tell your complaint to the sea." They walk back towards Okhema, their worries left behind in the salt water for now.

Rumi stumbles into the apartment with a loud bang of the door, her bag hitting the floor before she's even called out "I'm home!" Jinu appears from the bedroom, hair sticking up in all directions like he was dead asleep until just now. Maybe she'd woken him up. Oops. "Babe?" he asks as she stumbles towards the refrigerator and proceeds to shove every loose item of food she could fit into her mouth. "You okay?" The response is a series of sad whines around a mouthful of food. "Uh—" Rolling her eyes, Rumi swallows the mouthful of what Jinu thinks is leftover noodles before she tries again. "I said it was a rough day at the studio. Mira and Zoey fought over choreography for the new song, Bobby is getting pressure form the label to do a better job promoing our new single, and Celine decided to stick her nose into it. I've barely been able to keep it together all day." Jinu blinks, letting all of that sink in. He knows the music industry if full of bullshit, and he's been through a lot of the same with the other Saja Boys, but he suspects this isn't why Rumi is venting about it all. "Is there anything I can do?" Rumi bursts into tears finally. He gives her a minute to let it out, rubbing comforting circles on her back until she chokes out, "Can you hold me?" "Of course." Jinu instantly folds Rumi into his arms, pulling her close. "I got you." When she calms down, he herds her over to the couch so they can get more comfortable. He lies her down before wrapping a blanket around the two of them, and when Derpy jumps up to cuddle with them, she giggles and kisses his head. They fall asleep like that, TV playing in the background.
