I think its amazing no one makes a bigger deal about him not knowing or seeming to care what the MRI imaging is for. The 1st step of getting medical consent is verification of the procedure and usually the purpose has been outlined as well.

Not even then. Science is ultimately not about credentials, it's about DATA. If you "disagree with" something, find better data that disprove it. If you can't, well, then, your disagreement is meaningless no matter who you are.
