All in all it took me 190 games to get to 5th Dan, and I still haven't been knocked out of a game once. Kind of proud of that.

My luck has been a bit better in riichi city, although now I've been moved up into the next tier lobby and I'm terrified to imagine what kind of monsters are in there.

Calling riichi on a single-sided, single tile wait because I've got enough of a lead and I think it would be funny, and then drawing it myself two turns later. I ain't never gonna die

I've also been seesawing up and down a lot in my quest for 5th dan in Riichi City, but I did at least get this today

Following 5 very strong performances in mahjong soul’s gold room, I had a particularly disastrous run over the next 8 games, dropping over 500 rank points as I grew progressively more tilted. I’ve retreated to the silver room to recoup some of those points before I come back again.

I have a friend who lives close to the LRG store, and when I saw their guest lineup I quickly asked him if he wanted to spend his Saturday morning in line before mailing him some things. Very excited to have the the autograph of Yuzo Koshiro, composer of KoroneRaiser InuMore (and many other songs)

Also got a very cheap pci usb 1.1 card which i probably didn’t need to go all the way to Japan for, but it was very cheap and I was trying to add more things to this order. I have no idea if this one will even work with this pc (reports seemed mixed) but again, it was very cheap

It’s a small sample size, but I’ve been doing pretty well in RiichiCity/Riichi City. I’m very proud of that 4th place number.
