Thanks for posting. This is indeed a huge threat to the livelihoods of many. The language in the bill that is being introduced in the Senate will effectively shut down all THCA/hemp operators. These are business owners who have followed the law and are now in danger of being wrongly penalized.

Wow. We sure hope that isn’t true. It’s chemically impossible to convert CBD to THCA. THC, though, can be derived from CBD, but not THCA. All plants start as CBGA. Depending on the genetics, that converts to either THCA, CBDA, or CBCA. I know ours is grown naturally. Can’t speak for others.

Also partially true. Some cannabinoids, e.g. THCP, HHC, do need to be synthesized to create enough of a dosage to hit. Which is why we stopped carrying these. And, yes, there is such a thing as D8 THC. Also not natural. THCA occurs naturally.

The first part is 100% facts. The second is not. In order to make a gummy, you must decarb the flower to make the ‘butter.’ Doing so converts it to THC. I’ve never seen a gummy made with raw flower. That’d be a disastrous texture. These do hit quite hard.

You should definitely avoid THCA if you don’t want a THC experience. They are one in the same. And if you buy from a reputable source, it’s as impressive as ‘weed,’ since it’s the same thing. CBD, is a great non-psychoactive option, and for the health benefits.

This is the key piece that will either make flower sales legal or not. If Senator Perry and Danny boy get their way, this would effectively ban all flower. Including some CBD. This one is concerning.

TX did ban THCA/CBD vapes. As far as THCA, there’s some terrible flower out there. The good news is that the BEST operators provide test results. When you review those, look at the THCA/THC levels. Avoid D8 THC. If the report checks, you’ve found legit cannabis. THCA is as legit as it gets.
