Because, whatever is going on with contract negotiations (none of us know), trying to publicly shame the club and use fan anger in a bid to get more money is a dick move. The club can't respond and it's not a public matter.

My guess is that his agent is taking the piss on wages and contract length, using a Saudi offer in the summer as a benchmark, and the club is trying to gradually bring it down to something affordable. It's easy to portray the other side of a negotiation as a 'bad guy' when the other side can't talk.

Exactly. Mo made the same comments before the utd game, and now again before Madrid/city. It's a tactic to put pressure on. The club aren't in a position to make their own statements on the matter.

I don't believe it. Negotiations are ongoing, We're not going to 'offer the contract' until the details have been agreed. This is just Salah ratcheting up the pressure before a big game. Last time he did it before the utd game.

Yeah, loads of people seem nervous, probably because of the city result and making it count, but I think we'll win by a decent margin.
