Had to turn this off after the most unrealistic scene in the second episode.

I am a huge fan of nonsense fluff TV but this wasn’t fun enough to be one of those. Everyone is REALLY ACTING though and there’s enough terrible characters to hate for it to be like a hammy soap opera if that’s your bag.

I was a tad wary of this but I’m quite enjoying its high stakes espionage spliced with some spicy workplace drama. It’s all very “THIS IS SERIOUS TV” but if you like slow burners that focus on characters you might like it too.

Is this no handle mug the modern coffee shop equivalent of those trendy bars that served cocktails in jam jars??

It’s kinda ironic how many people involved in education seem to be relentlessly stupid.

Aside from the studies saying phonics is ‘failing children’, they think more testing will encourage more reading?

Misty morning walk soundtracked by this nostalgia inducing album.

Almost didn’t see the pale stag standing so still amongst the bracken.
Bradgate Park is always a treat.

I’ve got some ace postcards by the even acerer @davecakes.bsky.social if anyone would like to receive some post that isn’t a bill and won’t be thrown over your gate/hidden in the wrong bin by Evri.

The most interesting thing about the TV show The Terminal List is that the main character is called James Reece. And his wife’s name is Lauren.

Nothing says ‘I love my country’ like vandalising your local area. So proud.

This is not normal. I think he needs to just go and have a long holiday and recover.

Woah. That is a staggering stat.

This is astonishing. It’s full of big events and big emotions but with an aching drawing of the small moments and small feelings.

Oof. That album was one of my favourites for a while. So good loud when feeling like a mardy teen.

I went and bought my first fountain pen for 30 odd years. And first letter has been written and now ready to send.

“Why are you sharing a school permission slip letter from 1992?” is a perfectly valid question.

1. It’s a weird thing to keep.
2. Did I not go on the trip as the permission slip is still attached?

The most important thing to know is that is NOT my mum’s signature…

This is the most ridiculous nonsense but it’s nonsense that knows how to be nonsense. It’s like it’s purpose is to go “hey, 24 was a fun show wasn’t it?”

I also like how the tagline ‘Every Second Counts’ works for the other, superior TV show called Countdown.

I’m starting the day with a soothing sort and delete of phone photo album and forgot what this was and had a proper snort laugh:

The marrow has been sacrificed. Using up leftovers. Also threw in some celery, pepper, breadcrumbs and cheese.
