But here's what gets me: Frankenstein isn't really about the monster at all. It's about the hubris of playing God and the consequences of abandoning your creations.

What do you think makes a truly effective Frankenstein adaptation? The gothic atmosphere? The psychological horror?

There's something haunting about Mary Shelley's original vision, a creature seeking connection but finding only rejection. The Netflix version doesn't captures that existential dread very well at all, it all feels a little....rushed and forced. ⚡
