I get that, flipping it would definitely cheapen the rule. But the precedent itself doesn’t reset; it stays until another majority actively reverses it.

Why? The nuclear option changes precedent. It’s internal Senate rules, not something that needs a law or two-thirds vote.

Not disagreeing but looking at their uniforms, I think they’re just armed security guards, not actual law enforcement officers. US Marshalls outsource to private security companies. They don’t have any independent arrest authority.
