I would have thought not, just as you would not include Mr, Mrs or Miss - and if they say you should have included the titles, you could argue that they should have said to include titles as well as names!

I'm always sad when I find a soldier who died after the war ended. Just as their families thought they would return home safely, that happiness was snatched away... today I researched Edward Ryley Hulme of #Macclesfield who died of appendicitis on 28 Dec 1918 www.cheshireroll.co.uk/soldier/?i=1...

WWI Pension Cards, saved by the Western Front Association (and vieweable free of charge by WFA members) are also available on Ancestry. To see the cards you need a Fold3 subscription, but you can right-click on the image and 'open in new tab' which makes the image just about big enough to read...

Some of the best records for confirming relationships of soldiers who died in WWI are the Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects on Ancestry which often give name(s) of next of kin to whom the gratuities were paid e.g. in this case the father who was David J Hearn www.ancestry.co.uk/search/colle...

Come to Congleton - we have one independent petrol station which still serves you! Diesel is now self-service but petrol is not, although of course it's more expensive than other places
