When I moved into my first apartment, the gift basket included a Cox Communications branded pizza cutter. If cis bigots heard that two trans women had in their possession a device occasionally referred to as "The Cox Cutter," they would be driven up the wall.

The Last Batch had everything from fallen apart strawberry to the most perfect ever folded Nutella. And of course the last bits of dough got made into another cherry for Janet

Batches 4 and 5 didn't come out so good. My working theory is that the recepie says to refrigerate for an hour. The dough in yesterday's batches sat in the fridge for 24 hours, and tonight was 48 hours. They got too dried out. I did my best watering the dough, but some just couldn't make the cut.

A purimspeil is a great tradition and fun for the kids. The story of Esther is an important one to remember for everyone. But for me, Purim is all about making and eating gluten free hamentaschen.
