I like that idea with the heat pad. I might have to invest in one so I can be sure of good results all year round.

I tend to make bread in winter. I don't have a proving drawer or warm cupboard so I put it near the radiator to prove. What do you do with yours, could the sugar be helping if you don't have somewhere warm to leave it to prove?

I'm intrigued. I'm gonna have to look up how that works.

I just used the packets of dried yeast. I've never tried using live yeast.
