I had very similar experiences/feelings about taking engineering finals at Cornell in the late 1980s (Mech. Engr. '89). I did, however, experience a Physics Prelim that was so bad that the mean was 19. I did not break mean on that test.

Working today. But tonight/tomorrow will make cranberry sauce from scratch and then some pumpkin bread. I'll head over to my Mom's house tomorrow to help her get the turkey prepped and in the oven.
