Manifestations from the Carnival or even creatures the Carnival was based on. But now they just look like dudes in mascot heads, which isn't bad and still looks good, but I prefer the idea of the natural bird heads more and found that scarier because of how unexplainable it was.

Very "what the fuck is THAT!?" before, not knowing how they came to be, just weird bird guys. And I like the idea of the Carnival that is themed around them, but the Gul Bros still being these weird bird people that you don't know came before or after the Carnival.

Eeeeeh I dunno. Happy to hear that they are going to be a boss that you can fight outside of Maso mode because I've been wanting to fight them but don't like Maso. But I like the older designs more, something about them being, or at least looking like real bird heads was creepier.
