92. Hellsing (2001 series).

Man...this has problems, but I can also absolutely see why even this version is still beloved.

Let's switch things up and start with the negatives this time-Gonzo was not working with a big budget when they made this, and it shows. Sure, they stretched what they-

91. Chainsaw Man-The Movie: Reze Arc.

Kyle voice: "The perfect date movie!"

If you watch my year-end videos, y'all already know that I'm a big fan of Chainsaw Man. But guess what my favorite arc is.

Yeah. Now you know why I had to see this this year, expenses be damned.

Honestly, I-

89. Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween.

My hang-ups with this series aside, I actually quite liked this one. And it's pretty good for the occasion. Just a pretty interesting mystery with some interesting stakes, and it actually does take advantage of the Halloween setting pretty well.-

88. Beauty Water (2020).

So if you've been following my year-end lists, this has been on my to-watch list since my very first one in 2020, because that's when it was released in Korea. But as you know, my rule is that I can't consider something for the year-end list until it's officially-

87. The Twits (2025).

So if you read the book, like I did, it shouldn't be a surprise that this movie wasn't good. Again, it didn't exactly have great source material to work with. But...I'd still say it's more of a complete story than the book was.

Don't get me wrong: it's a really stupid-

85. Exorcist III: Legion.

Before you ask, I have not seen the first movie...or the second (thank God.) Obviously the first Exorcist is still regarded as a classic, but it's only recently that I've started hearing people praise the third movie. And...yeah, having seen it, it earned that praise.-

84. What Did Jack Do?

RIP David Lynch, but it says a lot about his talent as a director that he could play straight a scene with himself as a detective interrogating a Clutch Cargo-animated monkey, and you're not sure whether to laugh or be RIVETED. Maybe both.

I'm glad that, in his twilight-

83. The Monster Squad.

Yeah, pretty much everything you've heard about this movie is true. It's cheesy, and parts of it, particularly all the slurs and the kids are kind of assholes in ways they would NOT be allowed to be after the 80's.

But the actual monster stuff is pretty fun. Definitely-

82. The Devil and Daniel Mouse.

So, this was one I had heard of thanks to CR, but also because I covered Rock & Rule, which was apparently a spiritual successor to this special. And...yeah, you can tell.

This special has "late 70's" oozing from every pore. From the fashion, to the music,-

81. The Life and Times of Juniper Lee.

...man, I really wanted to like this show more, but it's kind of all over the place.

For 2/3rds of its run, the show is a pure comedic monster of the week show. And honestly, even back when I saw some episodes of this originally, its sense of humor-

80. Terror in the Wax Museum (Rifftrax).

I don't think this is the BEST Rifftrax movie we've watched this year (in the same year I saw Death Promise, that's hard to top) but it's one where I can see a version of this story working. At its core, this is a murder mystery in a wax museum, which-

79. Frozen Scream (Rifftrax.)

You know...maybe we were too mean to Manos. At least that guy knew how to record ADR, and knew enough to not loop it over itself. I can't say that for Frozen Scream.

Sure, more things happen in Frozen Scream, but as to why...that's more complicated. Ostensibly,-

I was shocked to learn that apparently, last year of all years, somebody wrote a sequel. Yes, The Twits Next Door is a real book, apparently, and it was written long after Dahl's death. I don't know why you would want to write a sequel to this of all books, aside from maybe wanting to cash in on-

77. The Twits (Audiobook).

Been a while since I read one of these, but in preparation for the Twits movie on Netflix, I decided to re-familiarize myself with the source material. Thankfully, Libby had the audiobook (cue Arthur reference). But I had a bit of a bad feeling going into this one.-

76. Unknown Island (1948, Rifftrax.)

What presents itself as a typical 'people find a dinosaur island' story basically gets everything wrong. The effects are bad (not only are the dinosaurs portrayed by people in really bad rubber suits, but apparently giant sloths look like crappy orangutans.)-

74. Infra-Man.

Ever since James Rolfe's Monster Madness video on this, I've been curious about it, and today I finally sat down to watch it. And...it's pretty good. Not as exciting as James made it sound, though I doubt anything could be. If it had been, it might be the greatest movie ever.-

72. Fist of Fury (1972, Rifftrax.)

Honestly, aside from maybe Undefeatable, I think this is probably the first thing I've watched on Rifftrax that I would have been just as happy to watch unriffed.

Yes, it's Bruce Lee, and as one might expect, the action here is the main star. Some great-

66. The Body Electric (1985).

A TV special this time, and thankfully a request that didn't take as long to finish writing the review for. (Mostly because it was short.)

This is an interesting little Canadian artifact from the 80's, in more ways than one. Animated by Atkinson Film-Arts, a-

63. The Princess and the Magic Frog. (Rifftrax)

Well...I'll give it this, it's not boring. Just insipid.

Apparently this movie was originally a kiddie matinee, and it certainly feels like one. The costuming isn't bad for the 1960's, but all of the performances feel very over-the-top whimsical
