The article mentions nothing about the role of native plants in the role of creating diverse bird populations. Why on earth did they study in vineyards? Cultivated land with non-native, monoculture plantings would have the least diverse bird populations. Think native!

The president-elect has stated that he "loves[s] the uneducated," and truly they did help elect him. All the easier to pull the wool over the eyes of people who never learned about critical thinking. This has been well known probably for centuries. Example: Mao's cultural revolution.

Been to North Shore MA lately? Air quality has been terrible due to all the brush fires. Thankfully should be raining there now. We're lucky the Fells didn't burn (yet).

That sounds very interesting! Are you aware of Homegrown National Park? Sounds like your work would be of great interest to that organization and vice versa.
