Yeah, I'm also betting on 2027 (I don't count Hyrule Warriors, haha). With the Zelda movie also coming out in 2027, they will probably want to make it the "Zelda year" or something.

I really hope it will end up forcing Nintendo to do something (keeping the Switch servers online or putting all games in the card), but we'll have to see. It will all depend on which laws come out of this initiative (if any). Let's hope something will be done :)

They are trying other things, though. Movies (Mario 2 coming this year and Zelda in 2027), theme parks, merchandising with physical stores... Probably not many people work on that in comparison to how many are working making games/hardware, but I wonder if that will change in the future

I don't think so. SKG is about forcing companies to allow players to keep playing their games even if the servers are stopped by the developers (by removing the DRM, helping to create your private server...). It might force Nintendo to give us a way to download our Switch 2 games forever, though.
