Cuomo was the strong favorite to win the primary until Z's surge. It's revisionism to now just frame him as "former Dem with a MeToo problem". Z breaking 50% in the primary and the general is very impressive. And this narrative that he did it with just ideologue brooklyn white transplants is wrong.

He was the frontrunner for mayor the entire cycle. If not for Mamdani's surge, good chance he wins the whole thing.
