A frailejón in a fog-enshrouded páramo in the hills east of Bogotá. These plants play a huge role in conserving water for millions of city residents. Nobody would complain if Bogotá itself were a degree or two warmer, but if climate change alters the páramos and rain patterns…No water = no city.
