i played it right after finally getting to coa recently and Man. its like. a shockingly short route for how much i feel it was built up but after a couple hours it truly sticks your claws in you and never lets go. every ending is its own kind of nuclear yaoi banger..

ooh no kidding, i guess my assumption was the further you get into truth route the more the choices leading to second scen seem natural but thats perhaps too big of a leap of logic... id imagine getting meitos at least after actively going thru all the buildup of truth route would be v fun

but i think getting a good chunk of truth route done early was very very beneficial to me, adds a certain flair to character dialogue

but no ultimately i dont think second scen needs to be saved till the end but its definitely not a first route, i think hitting a couple of branches on truth route at least is important. i dont think anyone's gotten meitos as a first route but could you imagine

of anything about their situation, their world, what they were trying to do. that agony permeates into the story not reaching its "conclusion" and i like that.. cannot wait to see more of s.f because i feel in my Gut that the fact it and romance are one choice away means something analytically

in hindsight i really appreciate 066 too for not showing us the final battle or the rockets firing, i think its a really good narrative choice used in a few arcs to not show those events we know must be happening. bc 066 is also partially takumi breaking down abt focusing on this stupid shit instead

its hard to say, since everyone has a very different experience.. i would second cot probably, though ive heard a lot of people got coa first and enjoyed that. i dont think slasher or kg would b the worst though. in truth maybe second scen is the ideal 1st route LOL, getting rebellion early was good

feel awful when he rejects them because what They feel is much clearer, and he "should" be able to give them what they want.. he was never able to initiate kissing tsubasa in kg. also speaks very much to the aroace experience i know well

no absolutely! its such a good character study of him.. i have such an insane soft spot for 066 even if romance wasnt the ideal first route to get i think 066 really was crucial for how i viewed takumi going forward like. oh he finds it difficult to know how he feels about people and this makes him

obviously not that bigger names in the jpn voice cast have not absolutely earned it, and i definitely want to play the game over in jpn, but i like hearing new blood in dubbing

oh yeah a lot of them dont have a lot of voice credits, i think a few of them have credits on like.. gatcha games or larger indie animation, though im not really in either scene. for most of them i find that a pretty endearing aspect and the voice director did a very good job imo

realistically i do prefer a lot of the performance of eito's jpn va, especially in really high-drama scenes like at the end of coa, but i really like a lot of aspects+direction of his eng voice too, and the fact his eng voice is just some guy doing a good job is very endearing to me, same w/ darumi

while im on the subject i do rlly like the eng voice cast for most of the game, i think i even prefer kurara's eng voice (and eitos, though thats a bit unpopular) i think ima's the only one who really suffers. megumi ogata is not an enviable act to follow.

also yeah abt gaku, i liked him but coa did finally get me to really enjoy his character. i dont dislike his eng voice performance at all, i think he does a really good job when hes Given nuanced emotions, but wow the vibe is completely different just listening to the japanese bonding events

exactly!! its a balancing act, and takumi is capable of so much cruelty of insane proportion but hes also just like.. a kid who cares about his friends. even when karua seemed to annoy him a lot and he was frustrated with her questioning things it didnt change how he felt or acted
