Its been a minute since I finished up my contract and we're back to streaming. Hours are always weird but generally productive. Today I got back in the saddle with this batman concept by Noah Allen. Which I have been having some fun on stream taking to a semi-stylized place.

I got thinking about Brian Jaques Redwall series, perhaps a Mouse is in my future reel.

We have hazards from the left and right, below and patrolling, but what could we do for a hazard from above. Master hands were always terrifying, so why not emulate that behavior. imagine this guy slothin' on the ceiling well hidden, chuckling from above before swinging down and snatching you

Yesterday we were makin a snare critter, and that got me thinking, what else snares stuff? And then I had it, trapdoor spiders. but I want mammals, how about a trapdoor bear? has a little tile on his back growing shrooms and hides under the floor. Watch out, the bear of the floor has wisdom!

In keeping with the weird tree mushroom critters, I wanted to consider how involving gameplay mechanics might alter body shape to communicate purpose and behaviour. If the first one is a big stompy patrol fella, this one is intended as a snare, blending in with the walls and then snaggin ya.

I got the hankerin to make some plant critters based on wood and mushrooms and masks. Enjoy~
