4/4 Over to you.

Where did your most inspiring run take you this year?

Which Pillar motivates your running and climate action most right now?

What is the one thing you are most looking forward to accomplishing with TGR next year?
December 11, 2025 at 8:32 PM
3/4 Thank you for a year of unstoppable momentum.

You have strengthened the supportive, global fabric of TGR, both online and through new Local Meet Ups.

Your dedication is changing the conversation in running.

We are thrilled to see what we achieve together next!

2/4 Your commitment to the Four Pillars was phenomenal.

You transformed simple choices into thousands of powerful pledges across How We Move, How We Kit Up, How We Fuel, and How We Speak Out.

You showed that being informed and taking action is the best way forward for sustainable running.

1/4 This year, you ran with purpose.

The Green Runners Wrapped is here to celebrate the incredible, collective impact of our community.

From all corners of the world, you proved that running can be a force for positive change.

We are so proud to be your clubmate and part of this movement.

1/3 - Green Runners Nottingham local meet-up!

Members & friends are invited to a pre-Christmas meet-up on 20 Dec @ Forest Rec parkrun.

Meet outside the Homemade cafe at 08:45hrs (look for The Green Runners badges) & again after the parkrun for some post run coffee and chatter ☕️

2/3 The group aim to tackle kit waste and provide greater access to sports participation for those without suitable gear.

The inaugural Run N' Rave was a big success, welcoming new faces across running & walking groups.

Over 100 items were donated to the kit swap.

Heavy rain didn't dampen the mood at our Nottingham local meet-up this morning with Caren, Jon & Kev visiting Bestwood Village #parkrun. 🌳

Our trio travelled sustainably by foot, train & tram. #HowWeMove

They enjoyed a 5k run 🏃‍♀️ around the country park followed by a warming cuppa in the café. ☕️

2/2 Green Friday

Rather than get sucked into Black Friday, let’s activate our #HowWeKitUp pillar by prioritising thoughtful purchases, repair, and sharing.

Hit pause.

Be mindful.

Run green.

1/3 Local Meet Ups are growing

We’ve loved seeing you proudly displaying your green badges this year, but we know many have been searching for real, in-person connections.

Making a difference is always easier and more fun when you run with supportive clubmates.

1/3 We are celebrating member Hannah Cox's epic Project Salt Run; 100 marathons in 100 days across India.

Hannah, a purpose-led entrepreneur, is running the 4,030+ km route of the forgotten Inland Customs Line, a colonial boundary that enforced a devastating salt tax.

3/3 Your positive choices are part of a big movement! You're securing a healthier world for yourself and the entire running community.

What's one small change you're making to your running routine to protect your mental health and the planet?

2/3 Taking positive action in your running life is a powerful form of self-care.

Protect those green spaces by running from home, choosing planet-friendly fuel, or repairing your gear.

Feel great about your contribution and protect the places that boost your wellbeing.

1/3 Every runner knows the amazing mood boost and mental resilience you get from running outdoors.

That vital feeling is why TGR's core mission is to protect the environment that supports us.

Make simple, sustainable choices to nurture yourself and the planet.

Kit conundrum. 🤔

In the UK it’s the time of year when we may need to pack a waterproof running jacket when heading out on a long run. 💦

We want our kit to have a long life but waterproof jackets are often not built to last.

What are your tips for getting the most from your jacket?

2/4 For the 380km race, Kev travelled by train (How We Move), used borrowed and repaired kit (How We Kit Up), and fuelled with homemade gel and a reduced-meat diet (How We Eat).

His TGR badge sparked conversations, fulfilling his How We Speak Out pledge too!

1/4 The Green Runners believe in running with purpose!

Kev's @superkev79.bsky.social Dragon's Back Race story shows how small choices make a big difference.

Inspired by TGR, Kev leans on our community to tackle the waste & environmental impact he sees in running.

1/2 Stuck in traffic or out in the fresh air?

This World Car Free Day (22 Sept) we’re choosing the 2nd option.

Run, ride, walk or bus it. Every km not driven helps.

You don’t need to go car free all day. Try the last km on foot, cycle to the shops or swap the jam for a tram. Small swaps matter.

1/2 What if your first 100 miler was about more than distance.

Meg chose to combine ultra running with caring for the planet.

She ran 100 miles solo around Anglesey to cut her footprint & avoid race impact 💚

Along the way she litter picked the whole route 🗑️
