Had a fantastic week in one of our favourite parts of the UK, in Northumbria. After visiting Lindisfarne many times previously, we finally got to Lindisfarne castle. It did not disappoint.

So the new George Smiley novel arrived today, which has been written by John Le Carre’s son. It seems to be getting good notices. First up though, I’m ploughing through The Russia House. Excellent stuff so far.

This evening’s listening skronk comes courtesy of The Arch Drood Julian Cope, and his then partner-in-crime, the mighty Thighpaulsandra. Lots of ARP, Moog synths, ring modulators etc. The first ‘Queen Elizabeth’ collaboration album from 1994. Groovy.

One of my first comic loves. This is a page of original Don Lawrence artwork from The Trigan Empire. A strip which featured in Ranger then Look and Learn, from 1965-1982. Don was a genius.
