This was snapped up so fast, I wish I could have had it for just one more day.

We have sweet peppers from even sweeter neighbours.
They gave us so many that we were able to share it with others. Seed saving to grow & share well into the future.
A bunch of sweet peppers, likely Marconi peppers, of varying shades of red, orange and yellow-green sitting on brown packaging paper. They have green stems, are all different lengths and chili-like in shape.

What a treat to see these beautiful things together.

Summer days

Looking back at my last completed painting of 2024 for some inspiration to get on with creating.
I started a new piece just before the new year but lost momentum with the busyness of working through the holiday period and school break.
A square painting with abstract flowers painting in shades of red, orange and brown, green leaves with red midribs & black outlines and white accents on a golden-yellow background, placed on a textured blanket of a similar ochre shade. There is a discreet watermark in the top right of the painting that reads at the green cheetah.

After a terribly hard week, it was a real joy to spend such a beautiful & inspiring Friday outside with family.
Sharing a small piece of that here as my first post.
The image is a photo of a regal-looking peacock standing upright on small grey garden stones. It is surrounded by a small patch of grass and many succulents, shrubs and trees in varying shades of green and yellow. The sunlight brightens the background while the shadow in the foreground gives contrast emphasizing the sheen of the bird's blue & green feathers. The peacock's head is tilted slightly to its left with its crest appearing framed by the bright red flowers of the plant metres behind it. There is a small watermark in the bottom right hand corner that reads at the green cheetah.
