They are also demolishing parts of our White House, abducting US and international citizens based on skin color, using the Justice Department to settle political scores, mucking up the Department of Education, pushing reporters out of the Pentagon, and raising taxes on everybody except the uber-rich

A whole slew of folk like to organize and sort things
The same people who vote in the college polls would still sort everyone at the beginning and adjust rankings based on how the season unfolds ... it would just not be public and out in the open (which could allow for drastic changes starting wk6)

It seems like the only things we "know" at this point are that (1) OhioSt is quite good (with only texas pressing them in the least ... but how good is texas?) ... (2) AFA has zero defense .. and (3) UCLA stumbled upon something brilliant with Neuheisel
