relationship and I'm kind of wondering how much this contributed to that. I mean, my brain took it in the direction of "you killed our dad and the whole mafia family fell onto ME PERSONALLY because you're a selfish dickhead!" (I'm working on a fic of them and this will be part of the plot for sure)

that Vox is busy with everything, which means Val has time to dwell on his feelings a bit instead of having what are essentially temper tantrums validated. If I had to guess why, it might be because Vox copes with rejection by having Val around sort of as a reminder to himself

that this makes his actions righteous but that's besides the point. I mean ffs, I wrote a 6500 word essay on why him and Angel love each other, I KNOW what I'm saying. What I've been getting at is that I feel like Val is just genuinely more relaxed and at ease now

Vox brings the lowest earners for him to shoot in s1e2 which is literally enabling and feeding into his anger which is ESPECIALLY weird cause he's bothered by it in the same episode ('Another day with Val, fuck my life'). I'm not saying Val isn't responsible for his own mental health and

I don't know about you but to me, it always sort of felt like Vox was enabling Val's anger issues. To me, Val reads as someone severely mentally ill that needs professional help. But obviously he's too prideful and in over his head to admit that, which sucks as is. And then I think about how
