My brother used to act the same way. I remember asking him; “ if I gave you money, what would you spend it on?” He would say something like, “probably Starbucks.” Then I would get him either a coffee cup or a gift card.

I don’t doubt people like this exist, but it begs the question, are they actually happy? Working full time with no pay to meet the previous generation’s expectations of them.
