Was an epic evening, eat ice cream truck ice cream in the yard watching the sunset. Come in to make stovetop popcorn, cheers our orange juices and start a movie. Felt like a perfect late summer day.

We watched as the first new wave of fracking took place on the Roan Plateau, a beautiful place where we have so much ecological diversity and wild horses still roam. As the beetles and fracking moved together over the mountains, into our neighborhoods followed by intense fires hitherto unknown.

I think everywhere people have seen what’s coming if they have lived there long enough and been watching. In CO we saw the pine beetles come devour the Western slope. They said they would never make it across the continental divide and of course they did.

Thank you! The black beans are from the Hopi in Arizona and then I flavored it with things common in Mexican cooking. I used to sauté it all in tallow or manteca but am trying to be healthier so used olive oil instead.
