Alsace is located in the Northeastern corner of France, tucked up next to Germany and above Switzerland. The Vosges Mountains protect Alsace helping to make it the second driest region in France: 20 inches of rain per year, with 1800 hours of sunshine.

In February 2024, I got a chance to visit Cyprus. An eye-opening experience. I got a chance to taste some amazing wines. One thing is for certain – if ever I get a chance to go, again, or taste, Cypriot wines – I'd do it – I recommend you do too. #wine

Plenty of wine made this list, 13 of the 25 tasted; over half of which made the “Better” category. Sagrantino has come a long way – no longer just a “tannic wine” for long ageing. My look at the 2020 Annata wines #sagrantino #italy #montefalco #wine

For the most part, I love these wines; they are the winemaker's playground, the sandbox, if you will. This year the wines were served with a little chill, which made them more enticing and more exciting to taste, and ultimately drink.

A look at the white wine of the Montefalco area: This is a real mixed bag of wines that are top notch to ones that really need help and are basically on life-support. Below is a link to the wines that made the grade:
