For all intensive purposes- It might sound like that, but the correct phrase is "for all intents and purposes." It means virtually or practically speaking. Flush out/Flesh out: Although you can flush something out, for example flush out your eye with water, usually you mean to flesh out. Flesh out means to add more details. "You need to flesh out the draft to your novel." #idioms #grammar #grammardiva #words #language
