Or better yet, just create a new party and leave behind the Open Borders people, the Defund the Police people, the Hamas guys, and all the leftist extremists. The mainstream media likes to slap all these ideas on the Dem party - just let these guys keep the Dem name and move onto to something else.

Progressives want to take that away from us.

He is announcing them now so that he can claim victory later without actually implementing them. He can claim "see, tariffs work. I'm a stable genius" without actually enacting them.

I wish these guys would push building shit instead of penny-pinching - reform regs and permitting, push energy infrastructure, automate the ports, etc...

This is too much of a publicity stunt where they will be dragged in a thousand different directions and accomplish very little.

But as long as voters want tougher immigration laws, then you need to give them tougher immigration laws. A senile rapist felon won the presidency twice because Dems talk about sanctuary cities while the American people want tougher laws.

Then you are living in your own reality blissfully applying your own personal logic instead of looking at what the voters said and did. That's why the Supreme Court will be 7-2 conservative majority for 75 years.

His whole campaign was building a wall.
