Someone dumber than me needs to explain why you don’t sound like a pedo sympathizer.

Should be, but won’t be. If bigots won’t vote for a woman, they won’t vote for a gay man. Sorry, that’s the current state of America.

How is any of it clear? WTF kind of journalism is this? 99.9% of the American public has no idea why we’re attacking Venezuela.

Fuck Bill Burr. A dishonorable hypocrite.

Aquarion’s annual capital expenditures are going to decrease from about $150M to about $30M if this sale goes forward. Once that shrinks, wealthy towns like Greenwich will push to grab whatever’s left while cities like Bridgeport get sidelined. A 60-person board will be a political shit show.

The president is a pedophile.

Also, you say PURA doesn’t set investment policy, but anything beyond routine fixes requires their approval. Big projects like treatment upgrades, compliance work or major replacements need a green light before a dollar hits rates. That sounds like setting the terms to me…

Call it a harassment campaign all you want. Marissa Gillett is a fucking criminal and might be disbarred, along with her colleagues. Citizens deserve a government they can trust, and she violated that. Now PURA has major credibility issues while Eversource is seizing the opportunity to attack.

Shhh. Don’t give then ideas. 🤫
December 2, 2025 at 6:40 PM
I’m no defender of Eversource, I just want you arguing with facts. Sure, $2M would be wild for a muni exec, but Eversource isn’t going public anytime soon. So what’s the real point here, that rich people suck? The core affordability issue is the Millstone deal, and that’s what needs a redo.
December 2, 2025 at 6:39 PM
There is a cost of living crisis and your gift guide includes a $425 hoodie. Absolutely get fucked.
December 2, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Hell, they didn’t even allow municipal officials to have a say. But don’t worry, chances are that Eversource will appeal and try to force the state’s hand. They’re already signaling that with their latest press release. www.businesswire.com/news/home/20...

I get the frustration, but the “customers pay a $20M salary” thing isn’t how it works. His total reported compensation is about $19M, but CT ratepayers only cover about $1.8M. That’s about $1.40 per customer per year, according to the OCC. The rest of his salary is stock awards.

You gotta understand that the very people who would be making those decisions on an RWA board literally testified at PURA hearings that they felt unqualified to do so. At least the current model requires Aquarion to seek approval for water system investments. The RWA model would just allow graft.
December 1, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Also, what is the better party to “directly steer investments for the water system of a significant % of the state?” Should it be 60+ unelected, inexperienced bureaucrats OR a regulatory body?

Oh she goin’ to jaiiiiillllllllllll
December 1, 2025 at 6:52 PM
Even then, Aquarion doesn’t even control this. Eversource does. But everyone wants safe, clean water. You can’t freeze a utility’s rates for a decade and still expect them to tackle lead lines, PFAS, or cybersecurity. The real issue is that people need higher wages in this country.
November 28, 2025 at 12:05 AM
Sure. The reality is rates are going up no matter what. Aquarion hasn’t had a rate increase in over a decade, and when a utility makes state-approved capital improvements, they’re entitled to recover those costs. So Tong and Fazio claiming victory over killing the sale was just a bunch of horseshit.
