Bettas are awesome. The variations blow my mind! I had a betta that lived a suuuuper long time as a kid and he was my bestie. Loved that fish. Fish are just so soothing imo. I hope one day I’ll be able to have a tank again but right now we don’t have the space for a tank big enough for most fish.

Same. I know some of the speculated AI has been proven to be artist-done so that’s great, but the things that haven’t been addressed and Epic’s CEO’s stance on AI disclosure make me squint a lil bit. But a collab with one of the most bigoted authors currently alive? Nah? I’m out.

It hasn’t been confirmed so it is technically “just” a leak, but if they’re not denying it either that makes me inclined to believe it is happening.

At this point if they’re affiliated with a company? Idk. I know there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism but like. Bro. Why do I feel like I have to make moralistic choices every time I play a game or watch a movie? And then wonder if I unknowingly supported something bad regardless.

These used to be the biggest gigs creatives could get and now people will lose their livelihoods bc of decisions the company they work for has made or bc their coworkers SUCK, but it’s just so stressful trying to enjoy media anymore. I feel like I can’t talk about stuff bc I’ll get scolded. Ugh.

Fortnite doing a collab with Rowling and possibly using Gen AI for in game assets, actors on Stranger Things being awful, Disney creating a generative AI program that Disney+ users will be able to use which means everything Disney owns has to be sus now (incl. Marvel), etc.

I miss enjoying art without having to worry about things. How do people manage to have fun when seemingly everything has been tainted? My anxiety is so goddamn high these days. Is the game I’m streaming okay? If I reference a show is that okay?

How do we navigate this? It’s untenable.
