I'll do a weird take. I think Marvel Rivals got snubbed from a lot of TGA nominations
It's definitely made a big impact in multiplayer games and still maintains a high concurrent player count today. Could've easily been in more categories, even non-multiplayer ones like Art Direction

Just realized a common thread between some of my favorite characters is that they come from a past that labeled them as evil or unsympathetic, but being exposed to the goodness of humanity showed them that they can change

First time playing the original after only playing 2 and 3 since they added it to NSO. I thought it was good. I liked the exploration and how side stuff can lead to more side stuff. It made me want to make sure to clear every room

Still insane to me that Donkey Kong Bananza has a whole surfing mechanic and yet this is one of the only DK platformers to not feature Funky. I feel like challenges where you have to race him would’ve been a given

Definitely one of the best games I played this year. I'm still new to NG (only other games I played was Black 2 earlier this year) but I feel like this is undeniably a great entry in the series. Seeing both Team Ninja and PlatinumGames work their magic is amazing

I think at this point this is a good roster and Sakurai has beaten the allegations, but it's still weird the only Dream Friend missing is Adeline

I will say if Xbox is actually dying, I hope Game Pass makes it out alive
It's stupid having to pay $30 a month for the only tier that's worth it on console. But on PC, yeah I'll definitely take $17 to play a new game on the condition I beat it within a month instead of $70

I’m not opposed to a Year of Amy. My only thing is that we already kinda had a mini Amy focus in 2023 with projects focusing on her and her becoming a mainstay playable character again. I’m just not sure what else they could do that’s meaningful

Overall pretty good. I think the real time combat was fun and a good way of mixing up the usual formula while keeping it familiar. This is probably the closest battles have been to feeling like the anime, although you're not dodging and stuff of course
