Well a lot of it is stagnating and plateauing because I bought into the "just practice" lie. People say it all the time when the REAL answer is 'learn the basics (construction, studies, exercises) and THEN practice your way to excellence). I wasted years with the 'just do it' method - discouraging.

Meanwhile, if I force myself, I suffer from burnout like you wouldn't believe. I have no idea how to find the right combination to protect my creative spirit. I pretty much gave up art at this point and only think about sometimes trying again "someday".

This is so startlingly obvious to me that I didn't even think about the possibility that people who are selfish, rich, and sociopathic might actually believe they love this country while hating almost every person and part of it at the same time.

It definitely doesn't always win. We need to fight for it. It's always a surprise when our compromised courts come to the correct decision but we can't count on those lucky breaks all the time

Live help chat is helpful too - it doesn't have to be on the phone. It just has to be a real person who can understand what I'm asking for and then do something about it.

Yes, I'm going to fight your phone tree. I'm going to say or push whatever I need to so I can talk directly to a human. Your system is a waste of my time, always. I don't know WHO you made your system for, but when I call, it's because I already tried everything possible to not call you.

There was a time I would see this and be holding my pitchfork and calling for blood of the goatee'd variety. But I've learned that critical and aloof parents are often hurt too. I'm not excusing it, but I can be sad for both of them... at least until and unless the dad is even worse.

This is a very large number that is hard to process as someone who doesn't understand the scope of usaid. But given that literally a million plus people died from Trump's incompetent handling of covid it's not that hard to believe
