I have a rule at signings that I will sign three books at a time and then if you want more signed, you have to go to the end of the line and come 'round again. Booksellers, who come with lots of books (all to be flat signed, not personalized) already know to wait until the end of the signing.
I pondered this very question while moving bookshelves from my studio to my office last weekend. As I carried dozens of hardcover editions of John Scalzi, Neal Stephenson, and Iain M. Banks, I idly wondered how rude it would be to show up at an author event with a stack of books for signatures.

I was wondering if it would be possible to use Bluesky threads as a comment system for blogs and it turns out [someone has already done it](snorre.io/blog/2023-08...) (snorre.io). I'm not sure if it's a good idea yet but I still want to play around with it.

I keep a digital diary/worklog and have started using online image generators to create illustrations to break up the wall of text. Anyone else finding themselves doing this?
