Ok, so we are in zone 5b and I was really curious if we could actually grow sweet potatoes in the area. Not the biggest, but it is a great first harvest and we can save some for slips for next year. To the bounty!!

So happy the sculpted golden coins were a hit at the Michiana Ten Faire this weekend. 4 dozen and all but six sold.

Oversized coins. : originally hand-sculpted then rubber molds made and cast in a dense resin. A couple different tones of paint and presto!.. gold coins for the booth.

Our original carved foam sign (top) and the new hand carved wooden sign done by Muq'wah Designs. (He is taking orders right now, DM me for contact info) LOVE how he increased the size of the logo to encompass more area. Putting on the clear coats today. So EXCITED to use this in our booth this year!

The next Heart of the Forest egg. I was able to sculpt a short screw design to keep the two halves together, this no longer being dependent on magnets or snapping together.

Finishing up 32 architectural emblems for a client today. Had to color match the one in the middle. Very happy with the result

Five of the seven designs we’ve settled on for the book tome boxes…although the green nature ones will probably continue to have minor variations in them. 25 books made, 25 to go!

My helper for the evening. He’s more of quality control, and he’s stickler. Lol

After creating dozens of different tome boxes, I think we’re finally centering in on six main designs. Time to get these up on the website

Our latest two additions to the family: Gizmo and Whisper, huddled against our 18 yr old, Spirit. The other cat, Spooky, declined to be in the photo. Lol. Feeling very fortunate how well they all get along.

Took some much-needed time to play in my yard the other day. I found a baby white pine, and much to my surprise. I discovered a baby sugar maple as well. Also repotted my vanilla plant. I really want to get back in the yard more.

I always love this stage of development - when all the various media seem to gel as one with the primer coat

A vendor ordered a dragon tome similar to ours this week! So excited to work on this!

The client enjoyed the cardboard container so much, that they asked for one to be created in wood. Also possibly creating 20+ more of the pieces this fall. Looks to be a busy fall. Fingers crossed!

The tome books were a big hit at the Rennaissance Faire this weekend but perhaps the biggest hit was the oversized dragon tome we made to hold our supplies! Lol

Spent the last couple weeks making a bunch of book box blanks for this year’s festivals. Now we can grab a dozen at a time and decorate and paint them to save us some time later.
