You don't know what he wants, but deep down you know he just chose the theme of your day for you.

It's so cute saying "explode" or any other suitable synonym around an inflated character and watching them wiggle and bounce a little in a panic.
It's compulsory. They can't help it.

I don't think either looks weird, but I do prefer the black muzzle.
