Same with Unicorn Overlord. There was only one passable difficulty option and that was the hardest one.

Phantasy Star II is hard but the Best in the series imo. Phantasy Star III looks a bit ugly but is also really great to. Phantasy Star IV looks the best but is just to generic. If you like Phantasy Star 1 than try Shining in the Darkness in the Shining Series
