I took my survival as a sign I have work to do in this body, purpose to fulfill as a vessel for consciousness. I view part of that purpose as embodied connection with others in which we enter into shared presence together. That’s when the real magic happens.

It’s often fatal regardless. The surgeon who performed the emergency open-heart procedure that saved my life thought I had a >50% chance of dying that day. Yet here I am, not just alive but thriving and appreciating even more than I already did (which is no small amount) the gift of existence. (2/)

In those moments, I surrender and remember: fully accepting What Is, without resistance; reminding myself that my essence nature is so much more than just this body. That's the only way to avoid adding unnecessary suffering to the inevitable pain of life, including existence in an aging body. 🙏🕉️☮️💓
