Have you tried Rhode Island pizza?
It’s basically a bread stick with the marinara pre-applied

Every car is a personal overlook hotel full of ghosts convincing drivers it’s okay to murder your family with an axe.

At the beginning of her majesty’s secret service, the intro is mostly shots of Connery to establish that Lazenby is the same guy, dirty cardigan and all.
The rest though

I agree, but when it comes down to it, it’s a question of staffing and space. You can only run ballots through the machines so fast, and have so many people counting at a time. It can be hard to forecast what the turn out will be too

Most districts have programs to identify and work with ”gifted” students. Some districts identify them as highly capable. By the time they get to high school I haven’t seen any major differences in their curriculum beyond honors, AP, and IB classes.

I hated taking it! It seemed to make me feel better, but towards the end, I dreaded the penny taste in my mouth when I felt mostly okay.
I found constantly sucking on a cough drop to help mitigate it though.

And it can be really hard to get people to break away from zoning out and to embrace feeling a little lost.
It can be rough and feel embarrassing, but it feels so great to gain that understanding for any topic- especially when you get past math that can be brute forced with memorization

I often think some guided “re-instruction” is one of the best tools teachers have. Though the needs thrust on teachers makes this hard to implement.

And it’s okay to say you’re bad at something- you just haven’t put the effort in it to improve (and may not want to!)

Yeah, things have really changed over the years, but I still see teachers treating students as a lost cause and it breaks my heart.

This is a nontrivial problem in education, especially with math, where one of your first tasks is to convince students they can learn.

I curse who ever came up with “math person.”

I like Flipflop solitaire for something that’s really just for filling time. And good sudoku if I want to think about it a little more. I have the ad free of both
Also a big fan of balatro.
