Rounding differences www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/01... Changes of 0.1% in GDP are not news. They are literally statistical rounding differences. Meanwhile, the economy and our society are riven with problems the media do not talk about. Why are they so willing to miss the real news?
Rounding differences:
The media is making much this morning of the fact that the economy supposedly returned to growth in November after declining last October. Let's be clear. The growth was 0.1% in November. In October...

Can I ask why anyone in Scotland thought it would be a big laugh to vote in Labour just to spite the SNP???
Anyone who thought that SLAB would be able to stand up to their London master's & demand X Y & Z. They have zero interest in Scotland & would gladly hand all these policies back to London.

Looking at the way Starmer’s new NHS plans are being reported, you would think that there was a secret magical army of private healthcare staff on standby to save the NHS.

In reality approx 90% of consultants working in the private sector also work in the NHS. Private companies poach NHS staff🚨

Aye
Scotland is not in a union it is being held and dominated by England's parliament. Scotland was denied its democratic mandate when we delivered a huge pro indy majority of seats in the.last UK parliament
A majority of pro indy seats in 2026 and we must play by our rules and declare independence.

Interesting financial view by the good professor.
Liz Truss and Rachel Reeves have a lot in common www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/01... Liz Truss was, in reality, brought down by the Bank of England. That Bank has now laid the foundations for the crisis that is threatening Reeves. They have much more in common than most people would think.

The proper (and official) name for Greenland is Kalaallit Nunaat, it's the only territory in North America where an indigenous language is the sole official language. Its population is 90% Inuit. I'm sure they are feeling terribly reassured by how the USA has treated its indigenous inhabitants.

The real question for opponents of Scottish independence is what do other NW European nations have that makes them prosperous & successful but which Scotland lacks? Are crumbling public services & the growing chasm between rich & poor under Westminster really the best Scotland can aspire to?
