I busted in Iowa big time. YouTubes full of epic chase footage that day. On the long drive home I was alone, far from my kids, wife & my home. I doubted my hobby. Passed a guy with his tripod out. Saw this in the mirror and stopped. It’s probably my fav 📸 this year, it meant so much 5/21/24😭🫶 IYKYK

This red barn and windmill caught my eye the night of the May event this year. Problem was a huge flood light behind me. (👀 my shadow) the aurora was so bright I figured I had a chance of getting the shot. No healing or corrections needed. Ten seconds of exposure and 💁♂️ #aurora #photography #wx

The first time I saw horizontal suction vortices (I had never heard of them) all I could say was “look there’s little tornadoes crawling up the side of the tornado”. Sometimes I chuckle at what I didn’t know… then I get to thinking about all the things I still don’t know 🤔 humbly glad for #wx here 🫶
