hauls in the last 4 GWs. A gem at 4.8m & could even be looked at as a season-hold.

Schar is a decent shout too, but is suspended for GW20.

NEW defence along with NFO & FUL could be the cheap trick to enable the best attack in the game

- Newcastle - The New Clean Sheet Machine

Newcastle defence are going under the radar and needs to be spoken about more. They have quietly kept 4 clean sheets in the last 4 GWs conceding an xG of less than 1 in all of those games. They now have the stability and aren't rotating as much as they were

The Bois Pick:

Gakpo
Wood
Raul
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Marco Silva’s men are unbeaten in 7 games and will look to extend that run with their next 3 fixtures against bottom 4 xGC teams. Fulham’s top scorer, Raúl, with 6 goals, is an excellent budget differential to target these favourable matchups.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Wood gives you more secure mins. With 2 of their next 3 games against bottom 7 xGC teams, he’s a reliable option. However, his ceiling isn’t as high, with returns in just 2 of the last 6 games. NFO are flying high, but their real strength has been their defence (15th for xG)
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Gakpo’s underlying stats are impressive. Playing for the best attack, He’s now started the last 6 games, though often subbed off early. At just 6.6% ownership and with a high ceiling, he’s a great option, especially with 2 of the next 4 games against bottom 5 xGC teams.

so far.

Their next few fixtures except SOU (H) in GW21 aren't too favourable, so we wouldn't buy any of their assets. Move on from their defenders and also from Bruno Fernandes, but keep Amad just because of the value he offers as an enabler.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
the losses came without them scoring. They are in the bottom 5 for goals scored, with just 21 goals from their 19 games so far, despite having an xG of 26.9 and missing a total of 35 big chances so far this season. Their goal difference currently stands at -5, with six clean sheets in the 19 games

- Man Utd Dilemma

This is probably the worst time to be a Man Utd fan, but an equally frustrating time as an FPL manager who owns players from Man Utd in their FPL teams.

To put it simply, United have been on free fall, with just 1 win in their last 6 PL games, in which four of

This, coupled with Chelsea’s dip in form, has led many managers to move on from Jackson & seek alternatives. However, the fixtures remain favourable, his underlying stats are still good, and Chelsea remains one of the best attacking teams in the PL.

For now, we’d HOLD onto him.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
He was brought in for the favourable run of fixtures from GW13 but has underperformed, scoring just 2 goals despite an xG of 3.09 (Top 10). His big chances missed have risen to 10 (Top 5). Just when he was expected to explode, he went quiet, evoking shades of Darwin last season.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
- Jackson: The next Darwin?

Jackson made headlines with 8 goals and 4 assists in the first 13 GWs, consistently ranking in the top 3 for nPxG. He’s been rewriting the narrative from last season, where he was plagued by missed chances and often a frustration for managers to own.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
These three teams rank in the bottom 5 for xGC (expected goals conceded) and are in the bottom 5 for total goals conceded too (33+).

With City's campaign to be put back on track, we will HOLD him for the foreseeable and cash in on the returns that are coming very soon!
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
in the attack by having an xG of 0.87 and an xA of 0.13, to go with the 3 shots on target and 11 touches in the opposition box, despite City having lesser overall possession than Leicester.

Man City's next three fixtures are against WHU (H), BRE (A) and IPS (A).
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
- Haaland on the scoresheet!

It's surely been a while, but close to 31% of FPL managers who kept faith in Haaland for GW19 were rewarded with a goal and 2 bonus points, as Man City returned to winning ways.

Not only was end result pleasing, overall it felt like Haaland was more involved
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Apart from that, their defence isn't looking too promising with a difficult run coming now. Hence, 2 players from Arsenal should suffice.

1 defender + Martinelli.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
But there is one attacker whose mins seem to be secured now with 3 90 mins in a row and picking up form at the right time - Martinelli ✅

2 goals in the last 3 and cheap as dirt at 6.8M, he could be a great punt if you want someone from their attack.
January 3, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Saka was the focal point & was involved in almost all their goals but now their goals are being spread out between the rest - which is great for them as a team but not so much from an FPL POV. Jesus has 2 double-digit hauls in the last 3 GWs, while Havertz scored in the other.

- Post-Saka Arsenal

There has been a lot of speculation around Arsenal after Saka's injury and how they will react to it as a team. Arteta is known for becoming defensive whenever things don't go to his plan & it did look like it until the young sensation came on last night.

Hence, we won't go anywhere close to the Arsenal attack.

Getting in an additional player from their defence is what we would suggest, as we expect Arteta to play more defensive football with lesser emphasis on the attack.
December 25, 2024 at 12:39 PM
With the injury to Saka, expected to keep him out until March, our belief in the Arsenal attack would significantly reduce. As we all know, he has been the focal point to their attack and the players around him have not really produced numbers anywhere close to what Saka does.

- Jesus in or triple defence?

With 6 G+A in the last two games in all competitions, a lot of attention has come on Gabriel Jesus. Managers have been pondering getting him into their sides to take maximum advantage of his current form in the festive period. Here's what we think:
December 25, 2024 at 12:39 PM
However, since the start of December (last 4 GWs), Brentford have scored just 6 goals, with an xG rank of 12th. Their fixtures turned tough from GW16, evident in their 0.71 xG and 1 big chance vs NFO’s strong defense. With tough games ahead till GW22, it’s time to sell.
