Perth, Western Australia has done so much more than any other Australian city to improve and promote cycling with their network of cycling paths and separated on-road lanes in the city. Yet, it’s still the most dangerous place I have ridden when not on a cycling path!

Love your videos, I think this explains why Australia doesn’t have high speed rail and never will. The top 3 selling cars in Australia in 2023 were all pickup trucks (utes). Speeding billions on roads wins votes and the people buying these cars are never likely to use public transport 🙁

Spare a thought for those living at the border towns of Coolangatta (Queensland) and Tweed Heads (New South Wales). Geographically, even the airport which the border passes through has different timezones of one hour during day light saving 🧐
