I'm a bad-faith troll? I know what's on LAMF, I'm in that sub, too. Both types are represented. 77 million people do not support what ICE is doing. Polls have shown that support for his immigration policies have declined in the past year. But enjoy your black-and-white thinking and have a nice day.

These are independents or long-time non-MAGA Republicans who would never vote for a Democrat. Of course in most cases they aren't even getting the financial benefit they wanted. They FA and now we all have to FO. The human capacity for not just cruelty, but selfishness and stupidity is amazing.

I'm talking more about people who voted for financial reasons and were OK with deporting criminals, but are now all shocked Pikachu when it's the nice, hard-working person who mows their lawn or cleans their house. And don't like the videos of parents being dragged away from their weeping children.

Right. r/LeopardsAteMyFace has a lot of examples of redneck MAGA Christian types crying over the impact on their personal finances, not what is happening to immigrants. They still support Trump's racism but regret voting for him because now they lost their job and their truck is being repossessed.

I'm not giving you citations, this isn't Reddit. But polls have shown that support for what ICE is doing has been shrinking, even among Trump voters (probably independents). And I know people who regret their votes, usually because it has come back to bite their friends/family/businesses in the ass.

77 million people voted for him, and plenty of them did it because they thought it would benefit them financially (lol) or because "we vote Republican" or because they are uninformed voters who didn't listen to or believe what he said he would do. A lot of them don't support what ICE is doing now.

Of course not, I'm not saying these people don't exist. And there are way too many of them, unfortunately. But there are also plenty of bots on social media platforms designed to boost this message and make people think this view is more widely shared than it actually is.
