Ive never seen this claims before. Ive heard of plagiarism claim. But ppl have been harassing mxtx over making jc "too sympathetic" since she first published the novel in mandarin so i dont rhink its just the translation i think its a matter of how ppl interpret the characyer

And if you think they look like a couple than thats your problem. Im literally not a chengxian shipper at all and i like that art because i find their shared loss and their relationship to be fascinating. It doesnt look like ship art to me at all personally

Literally no thats not what i said. They are using her art that is not offical art commissioned by the publisher to paint her as someone with an agenda when she likely has no control whatsoever over what she is told to draw. Just like translators dont always have full control either.

Even though he is hardly in the novel at all points to it very much being about jc. Maybe its not for you, but lbr this always happens specifically when its jc. Its happened many times and its never another side character that they are so upset about its always jc

I love Lan Wangji but he isn't a main character. Wwx is the only main character lwj is his love interest. I don't think its unreasonable for jiang cheng to be on a cover to me the fact that they are showing pictures of ruthies other art and singling out jc when jzx is feature twice on the cover-

Lol okay I wasnt making an assumption I also got this from Chinese fans but sure i shouldnt maki g sweeping statements. I still think blurring jcs face like hes a real life criminal and harassing a real artist over something that is probably not even in their control at all is also very wrong

Working against wwx. He didnt do that until he viewed wwx as responsible for Yanli's death and then he basically went crazy. But that is still part of his grief which is what this cover is about. Its about Yanli's death and the three people who's lives were devastated by it

Jiang cheng didnt do that though. Jin guangshan did. Jiang Cheng wasn't equipped to engage in politcal debate with someone with four times his experience. He attempted to defned wwx and the wens by acknowledging their debt and he failed and later was complict but thats not the same as actively-

Sorry but could you point me to the sections that make you feel like jc was "subtly sabotaging wwx" he pretty much only does what wwx tells him to do and attempts to defend him in lanling and fails.

They are being really insane honestly. They didnt have any intention to buy a book in english by a foreign publisher. They literally just hate jc so much it makes them crazy.
