The fact that Patel is lying about his past means that the Trump nominees are vulnerable to public opinion.

When Patel appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday for his confirmation hearing, he refused to acknowledge many of the over-the-top statements he has made and actions he has taken as a fierce pro-Trump warrior.
