yeah it's def been an issue in CSP for a while and all the answers i ever found were like "get a better computer" or "just make a smaller canvas" or eventually settle on "use a different program" (krita and sai mainly)

csp is so poorly optimized it's actually insane

Same problem here, big lag with big brushes, even simple ones. (Although it does get wayy worse with textured ones.) Also big lag when resizing/transforming anything... it's wild.

Also it apparently doesn't matter what rig you use because CSP hardly utilizes the GPU for some reason
