Cards that have hotel and mile benefits often only benefit people who would frequently use them ONLY for that benefit AKA frequent travelers/people who travel for work. They aren’t super helpful in other categories otherwise and thus only accumulate the lion-share of their benefits during travel.

I would elaborate more, but I’m currently at work and I can get very loquacious/wordy in my explanations for short posts like this. 🤣

TLDR: Look in to Card Trifectas or Card Families rather than a specific card. You do not have to obtain all the cards in that trifecta, but the benefit of using a trifecta of cards is that the points/rewards are transferable across all the cards in that trifecta.
